Determination of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in six different fish species from Swiss lakes
We are excited to share our latest research paper titled "Determination of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in six different fish species from Swiss lakes," published in Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry. This study investigates the levels of PFAS, persistent environmental contaminants, in freshwater fish from Switzerland. We analyzed 218 fish samples across six species, utilizing advanced techniques to assess contamination levels and their implications for both ecosystems and human health. Our findings highlight significant PFAS presence, particularly in European perch (Perca fluviatilis), raising concerns about fish consumption safety.
Dive into the details of our research and its critical implications for environmental monitoring and public health!
