CCNP
Cisco offers a range of courses as part of the Cisco Networking Academy. This allows students to gain excellent knowledge in the world of networking and computer security.
The HEIA-FR is a Cisco Networking Academy partner and also an Academy Support Center and runs courses that prepare students for the CCNP Enterprise (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification.
Admission
A good knowledge of written English is required. A diploma such as CFC or Maturité is recommended. Networking knowledge equivalent to CCNA certification is required. The multimedia course is in English or French; explanations are given in English, French or German.
Features of this program
The courses provide a detailed and theoretical overview of advanced switching and routing functions, and teach students to troubleshoot complex enterprise networks.
This course complements the Cisco CCNA training program by covering more complex network configuration and troubleshooting functions.
It allows students to prepare for the internationally recognized Cisco CCNP certification and to enter the workforce.
Practical exercises and case studies provide students with the opportunity to apply what they have learned and to develop their critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills.
Content description
This course is composed of two modules of 70 hours each:
- Core Networking (ENCOR)
- Advanced Routing (ENARSI)
Each module contains:
- a multimedia theory course
- exercises and exams
- laboratories (practical exercises)
Courses calendar
CCNP training courses are organized on request for companies (with a minimum of 5 participants).
Certificate
After completing a Cisco Networking Academy course and passing the theory and practical exams, students receive a course certificate.
To acquire the official Cisco certificate, it is necessary to pass an exam at an approved testing center.
The students of the Cisco Networking Academy in Fribourg also have the possibility to do the certification in our premises.
In order to sit for the certification exams, the student must be in possession of a CCNA or CCIE certification.
Registration at a testing center can be done at Pearson Vue.
