Get started on the DevNet Associate certification! Develop the software skills you need to become an essential part of today's IT teams.
You'll learn modern software development best practices, DevOps, and how to safely interact with application programming interfaces (APIs) to automate existing manual processes with just a few lines of code.
Admission
A good knowledge of written English is required. A diploma such as CFC or Maturité is recommended. The multimedia course is in English or French; explanations are given in English, French or German.
Recommended prior knowledge: PCAP (Programming Essentials in Python) and CCNA (Introduction to Networks (ITN)) or equivalent knowledge.
Description of the content
This course is composed of one module of 70 hours:
- Practice software development skills, including Python, GIT, and common data formats (XML, JSON, and YAML)
- Become familiar with infrastructure automation using code, DevOps methodology and microservices
- Deploy applications as containers and use continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills using Cisco Packet Tracer and virtual machines
The training contains:
- a multimedia theory course
- exercises and exams
- practical laboratories, simulations
Courses calendar
The DevNet Associate courses are organized during the summer academy at HEIA-FR.
These courses are also organized on request for companies (with a minimum of 5 participants).
Certificate
After completing a Cisco Networking Academy course and passing the theory and practical exams, students receive a course certificate.
To acquire the official Cisco certificate, it is necessary to pass an exam at an approved testing center.
Students at the Cisco Networking Academy in Fribourg also have the opportunity to take the certification at their location.
Registration at a testing center can be done at Pearson Vue.
