Printed Collection
The HEIA-FR library collection consists of books, manuals, standards, technical documentation, dictionaries and encyclopaedias, and specialist journals. It is classified and grouped according to the school's major fields of study. Comic books, mangas and DVDs are located at the back of the library and can also be borrowed.
A dozen Swiss daily newspapers are available for consultation in the school cafeteria (daily edition).

*** Reclassification project underway ***
The library is in the process of completely changing its classification system (call numbers on the books). You will notice that there are currently two types of classification cohabiting.
If you have any problems finding the documents you are interested in, please do not hesitate to ask the librarians for help !
Layout of the collection
To easily find the books that interest you, consult the library map below. Each subject area is represented by a specific colour. Once you have identified your subject area, refer to the associated classification plan (right-hand column) to understand how the shelves are organised according to sub-topics. For example, books on Swiss architecture can be found in the purple section of the library, under the reference ARC DA.
