L’île O’Frais – participatory construction site in Schoenberg

We’re kicking off a two week hands on project with the residents of Schoenberg on the neighbourhood centre square.
Shade structures, water play features, colourful murals and ground paintings — all designed to bring shade, coolness and vibrancy to the neighbourhood square.
This project, designed and built together with the residents of Schoenberg, allows us to experiment with transforming an outdoor space to better cope with heat waves in the city — a key moment in the “SWEET SWICE” WP5 research project led by the TRANSFORM Institute (a partnership between HEIA FR and REPER).
